FIG JAM

fig jam

a little grated ginger
cinamon
4 pounds sugar
4 pounds figs.
2 or 3 lemons.
a stick of vanilla

put the figs nicely sliced with the sugar and a glass of water.
the zest of two lemons and the juice and interior or the three lemons.
bring to boil, and then cook slowly for maximum 45mn
